HIGRA Amphibious Technology

The amphibious concept is a pioneering HIGRA technology, developed so the pump can operate both submerged and out of water, with no adaptations or auxiliary cooling systems.

In this concept, water is admitted through the flanged axial suction, passes through the centrifugal impeller and flows internally through the pump-motor assembly, providing continuous motor cooling even in above-water operation. This architecture eliminates the need for an oil chamber, external mechanical seals and additional cooling systems, resulting in simpler, more reliable equipment with a longer service life compared with conventional technologies.
